Looking for a new job can be very frustrating as well as time consuming. We remove a lot of that frustration and give you back your time by doing what we do best. We take the time to get to know you and find out what is important to you in your search for a new career opportunity. At Moran & Associates we go the extra mile to make sure that we only present you with opportunities that fit within the parameters that you give us. This includes: salary requirements, location, type of position and type of company you want to be part of. Our firm has spent since 1996 building rapport with our client's so that when we present a candidate's resume it takes priority and is seen directly by the appropriate hiring manager. We do not just find our candidates new jobs, we find them the best next step for developing their career.
  • I have not interviewed in a long time and have a hard time negotiating salary. What should I do?

That is absolutely not a problem. As a staffing company, we also specialize in thorough interview preparation. Prior to any interview we will give you the hiring company's website with plenty of time to review it. We will tell you exactly what they are looking for in a new employee and the description of the position they are looking to fill. We will let you know if you can expect any testing so you will be fully prepared. Our firm inform you about who you will be meeting with, their titles and as much as we can about their interviewing styles and personalities. We will give you interviewing tips and techniques as well as share with you how to handle the always awkward salary question.
  • What does it cost to use your services and what is expected of me if I choose to work with your company?

There is absolutely no financial obligation to you for using our services. What we do need from you is a professional, updated resume. We also need you to dress professionally for any interview you go on and to contact us directly after any interview to let us know your interest level. Our clients are aware of our process and give us immediate feedback and expect feedback from our candidates. We also expect a genuine commitment to your search. Our company works very hard to peruse the market and find you every potential opportunity that fits your needs. It is important that you keep us informed of your availability to interview and any other opportunities you are entertaining on your own. We do not want to repeat your efforts or dilute your value by presenting you to clients that are already aware of your candidacy.
  • What if I receive a counter offer from my current employer?

You could receive a counter offer from your present employer and there have been many studies done on that particular question. The studies have shown that most people who accept a counter offer from their employer are typically terminated or resign within the following 6 months. There are a couple of reasons for this:

    1. By accepting the counter offer you are now giving your employer time to find a replacement for you. Most companies do not want to keep someone on staff that was ready to leave them. The bond of trust is broken. Usually they are not prepared to lose you and need time to find a replacement. That is why they counteroffer you.

    2. They also now feel that you are getting exactly what you wanted and not what they wanted to pay you. This could also force them to have to pay other employees more to stay in line with your new increase. From here on out every time you have a doctor's appointment, need to leave early or come in late you have your employer thinking you are interviewing even when it is a legitimate excuse.
